i went to sacramento to meet my extended family! this is my great grandmother! we had so much fun together. she rocked me in her rocking chair and sang to me! i loved it. she made me smile a lot!

been busy

well, fans, i've been busy. uncle elias asked for some more pictures as though i have nothing better to do than pose for the camera all day. what have i been up to, you ask? well, i had to take this picture for my dad so he can see me in my cute onesie.
then i fell asleep on uncle elias' shoulder while watching "oceans 13."
then nana and i sent out some emails.
and then i took a nap with mama. we sleep at different times than you all. see, i have to eat more often than you, so we get up a lot in the night and i eat. this means that sometimes during the day we take naps to try to make up for not sleeping at night. it doesn't always work, though, and my mama yawns a lot.
i have another full day tomorrow because we have a bunch of friends from hollister (the town where my mama grew up) coming to visit. that means i have to go to sleep now so i can be ready to meet everyone. i hope you like these pictures and they tide you over for awhile!

mama says i'm expressive, whatever that means. she watches me and laughs all day. she says it's hard to get anything else done. i'm not trying to distract her, i'm just reacting to this place.

my papa called my mama and wanted to make sure she has been reading to me from the Bible. she has.

snug as a bug

i like being swaddled! it's so cozy. my mama says i look a bit like a glo worm all wrapped up! i don't mind. it's so nice in this blanket!


the carseat, however, i didn't so much enjoy when i was first strapped in. mama says a better one is on it's way. this one has been recalled. i can see why: this one doesn't come with seat warmers, a rolling massage, or anything. i much prefer to get swadled and carried around by my mama!! plus "swaddled" is just such a fun word to say! let's all try one together: SWADDLED!

my big day

hello everyone!  so great to finally meet all of you!  my name is judah hanaïka gustabe and i made my grand entrance into this world last night at 7:52 pm.  i weighed 6 lbs and 10 oz at birth and i am 19 1/2 inches long!  my mama says i am the most beautiful girl in the world!  she says i have my papa's lips, his nose and his build.  my papa says i have my mama's attitude!  

grandpa says he knew i would be adorable but he never imagined i could be this cute!  nana was wonderful all through the long long day.  also my aunts emily and brendie were the best support my mama could have asked for!
thank you all so much for praying for me! it was a really long and hard day but the Lord is gracious and good all the time! i'm really hungry now, so i'm gonna go!
