all rabbit's friends and relations

when my mama was a little girl, her mama (my nana) and her papa (my grandpa) used to read a lot of winnie-the-pooh to her.  she knows many many poems by mr. a. a. milne by heart.  today she was reading some stories from "house at pooh corner" to me and we read about rabbit's many friends and relations.  i liked that!  sometimes i feel like rabbit; i have SO MANY friends and relations!
recently my mama and i visited southern california and it turns out i have a lot of aunts down there.  here, let me introduce some of them to you:

this is uncle bradley! he taught me a lot about basketball while i was there. he knows so much!

and this is miss ashley. ashley just had a baby of her own! mr. jacob matthew! he was born after i left so i didn't get to meet him.

and this is miss kellie. she is lukas' mom! lukas was a lot of fun! i was waiting and waiting to meet miss kellie!







oh my aunt shanley!! i had so much fun with her that my mama and i decided to take her home to auntie em's for the night! that was so great!

i got to see my aunt brendie again! that was so wonderful. i love my aunt brendie! my mama and i were excited because while we were there, she launched her new website!



and this is my uncle noah! it was his birthday and that is why my mama and i wanted to go down there to visit! we love our noah-san!

for a change, we stayed with auntie em instead of at aunt brendie's house. auntie em has chickens! this is her chicken coop. she and ryan built it themselves.

and she has turtles! three of them are hers and one is my mama's!




























i really liked visiting all my friends and relations. my mama didn't get a picture of my with miss shannon or miss jaime and that is just sad! i guess we'll have to visit again!

immune

i woke up this morning and my mama was being funny. she greeted me the same with kisses and love, but she said, "honey i am so sorry." a couple of times and i couldn't figure out why she was saying that. it was weird.
we just had a regular morning:
i slept in a bit.
i sat with my mama and nana as they ate breakfast.
i took a bath in the kitchen sink (two words: spray nozzle!).
i got dressed.
we went to town to do some errands (pretty sure i slept in the car...).
then something else happened that i thought was strange:
my mama squirted a little something sweet in my mouth that i have never tasted before.
it was pretty good, though, so i just went about coo-ing as usual.
but then we went somewhere i have only been twice before. a nice girl led us to a small room. she left us alone for a few minutes and my mama told me that she loved me and everything would be okay. what was going on? the girl came back in the room and talked to my mama. my mama held me over her lap and the girl STUCK SOMETHING SHARP IN MY LEG!!

THREE TIMES!!

yee owch!!!  i really didn't like that at all.  why did she do that?  and why did my mama let her?  

of course, then my mama let me eat for awhile and i got sleepy.  i think we went back to the car.  i can't really remember.  the next thing i really remember was waking up in the front pouch at the grocery store, so i guess whatever happened i survived.  there are funny little rounds spots of color on my legs now where that girl stuck me.  see?

i have flashes of remembrances of being in the bookstore and when we got home my mama read me a new book called i udderly love you.


yeah, i think i'll be okay.

so much to say

i, judah, would like to go on the record to say:

i went camping!

hey everyone!  i had such a great time camping!  we left california and the first thing we visited was the hoover dam.  

it was really dry all around the lake but this was quite an amazing structure!  when we left the dam, we headed to zion national park in utah.  this is how i passed the time:

before we got to zion, we stopped at a little apple farm and my mama wanted me to walk in the grass a bit, since we wouldn't be seeing any more grass for a few days!


the mornings at zion national park were cold!

but soon and very soon it warmed up and we went hiking!



the next day we drove to bryce canyon national park. this is what i remember of the drive:

bryce canyon was spectacular (that's a new word i learned!)!
another word i learned was "hoodoo." that is what all those pillar-like rock formations are called. that evening we went on another hike.



here i am ready to get on the road and head to colorado!

somehow i don't really remember how we got to colorado:

then i helped nana at the first aid tent at vacation bible school (soccer camp '08)!

next, i practiced "mutton busting" for when the rodeo comes to town. for those of you city folk who don't know what this is, i suggest you goodsearch
it.

after that i made lots and lots of cookies with my mom for the bible school/soccer camp banquet!





AAAAANNND i had a bath!
